Sandra Nelson

Sandra Nelson, age 76, of Hastings, MN, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2020. Sandra was born on September 18, 1943 in Afton, MN to parents Frank and Leona (Trost) Pribnow. She graduated from Stillwater High School with the class of ’61. On June 23, 1962 Sandra married the love of her life Wayne Nelson and together they were blessed with three children.

She loved being a mom and raising her children and once she became a grandmother she loved to spend time with them and would often have them over. She was an animal lover her whole life and held her pets close to her heart. She enjoyed being outdoors, gardening and bird watching. She is survived by her husband Wayne; children Bob (Jane), Bill (Trish), Jen (Scott) Anderson; grandchildren Shane (Teigan) Nelson and Chelsea (John) Richmond; great granddaughter Luella Joyce Richmond; brother Clifford (Twila) Pribnow; sister in law LaDonna Reitberger, and many nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Carol Pribnow and Marlene (Joe) Chaves, and brother in law Jim Reitberger.

Private funeral services for Sandra have been entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson. Memorials preferred to donors choice.
