Shane Loughney
7/31/1976-05/17/2025
Shane Joseph Loughney, 48, passed away unexpectedly on May 17th, 2025, as the result of a motor vehicle accident. He was born on July 31st, 1976 in River Falls, Wisconsin to Mark Loughney and Barbara Siercks. Shane grew up in Lake St. Croix Beach, Minnesota and spent the last 25 years in Woodville Wisconsin. He was a devoted partner, son, brother and uncle.
Shane was a skilled carpenter and extremely hard working. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, no matter what the task—never shying away from hard work and no project was too big. During hunting season, he spent every free moment in a deer stand searching for the next big buck, or making venison jerky. When the weather was warm, he loved cruising on his motorcycle with friends. He was a true chocolate milk enthusiast, rarely seen without a gallon, literally carrying the jug around with him everywhere. Shane was a dog lover and has now been reunited with his beloved pets, Sabbith and Otis.
Shane is preceded in death by his grandparents, Larry and Mary Giles, Mark and Frances Loughney. He is survived by his partner, Angela Casperson and her girls, Ashley and Aspen; parents, Mark (Phyllis) Jensen- Loughney, mother, Barbara Siercks; sister, Amy (Vince) O’Brien; brother, Ehren Loughney; nieces and nephews, Haylie, Quintin, Joey, Paige, and Delaney. Also his brothers at heart Erich Johnson and Russ Blomker. He will be deeply and sorrowfully missed by all who had the privilege of calling him a friend.
