Sharolynne Atkins

Sharolynne Atkins, age 83, passed away on January 26, 2024 with family by her side.

Sheri was born on September 13, 1940 in Minneapolis, MN to John and Anna (Carlson) McCullen and graduated from Roseville High School. Sheri worked as an assistant manager at a liquor store in Cottage Grove, MN before retiring.

Sheri married the love of her life Steven Atkins on June 13, 2001 and together they enjoyed traveling, camping and fishing.  After they moved to their beloved homestead/hobby farm, they became avid gardeners, shared produce with many and grew enough even to sell.  Hosting gatherings of family and friends was a joy to Sheri.  She was a wonderful mother to her six children and loved her family dearly. She had always had a steadfast spirit and was firm in what she believed.  Sheri’s Christian faith was her foundation, and she spoke of it often.

She will remain in the hearts of her children Gregory (Joyce), Cheryl (Mike), John (Robin), Debbie (Victor), Michael, Timothy (Candy); 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; brother Jerry McCullen, and all members of Steve Atkins’ family as well, especially sisters-in-law Sarah Atkins, Laurie Hilty (Bill) and Leslie Atkins along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Steven; parents John and Anna McCullen; sister Judy; brothers Ron & Tom; father- and mother-in-law Robert and Phylis Atkins.

A celebration of Sheri’s life will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at the United Methodist Church in Hudson, WI. Visitation will be from 10:30-12:30 with a service starting at 12:30 and a luncheon. Memorials are preferred to the family.
