Sharon LaVerne Bruesewitz, 72, of River Falls, Wisconsin passed away on April 2, 2016 in River Falls, WI

Sharon was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on March 20, 1944. She was hand picked to be raised by Arthur C. and Helen E. Thoreson (Schwoch).
She graduated from Memorial High School in Eau Claire, Wisconsin in 1962. Sharon was married to Robert (Bob) Marlow Bruesewitz (Fall Creek, Wisconsin) November 3rd, 1962 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. They were married 53 years.
As a young child Sharon was very active in her church community, Sharon worked in the insurance business for the St. Paul Company before becoming a legal secretary for many different law firms and ending her working career at Prestwick Golf Course where she was loved by everyone. She enjoyed traveling, with her favorite trip being to Hawaii for her and Robert’s 50th Anniversary. She also enjoyed shopping, sightseeing, movies, reading, She loved spending time with her 4 children, their spouses and her 5 grandchildren. She was involved in the Hospital Auxilary and Tuesday Club for which she loved because she loved to be around people.

Sharon is survived by her spouse Robert, sons Keith (Tracy), Kevin and Kent (Tamara), daughter Kim and her 5 grandchildren who were the love of her life; Danny, Polly, Kaitlyn, Kenzie and Parker. Most recently she welcomed another granddaughter when Danny married Kelsey. She is also survived by her amazing extended family and lifelong friends.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents Arthur Christian and Helen Elnora (Schwoch) Thoreson, Marlow and Elda (Kromrey) Bruesewitz, Judy (Bruesewitz) Tollefson, Denise Tollefson, and Debra (Tollefson) Smithmeyer,.

The family of Sharon LaVerne Bruesewitz wishes to thank the amazing doctors, nurses and aides at the University of Minnesota Medical Center. Most notably Dr. Kiel and her amazing team for the compassion and care she provided to Sharon and her family. Dr. Sachs (Oncologist) – University of Minnesota Cancer Center, and Dr. Ben Morgan – River Falls
Medical Clinic, Katie S. – Adoray Hospice. Thank you for loving Sharon, your life is better for having known her.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday April 6, 2016 at Ezekiel Lutheran Church. Pastor John Henning of Ezekiel Lutheran Church will be officiating. Funeral services for Sharon will be at 11:00am, Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Ezekiel Lutheran Church, River Falls, WI. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, River Falls, WI.
Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Tuesday, at the Cashman-Hill Funeral Home, River Falls, WI and for one hour prior to the funeral at the church on Wednesday.
