Shirley Ann Anderson, a beloved homemaker and devoted matriarch, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2026, just days shy of her 98th birthday. Born on January 14, 1928, in the charming town of Spring Valley, Wisconsin, Shirley spent her life enveloping those around her with love, warmth, and creativity.

A talented embroiderer and needlework artist, Shirley crafted pieces that embodied her love and passion for artistry, providing her family with cherished keepsakes that will be treasured for generations to come.

Shirley dedicated herself wholly to her family, creating a nurturing home for her children - sons Steven(Teri) and Jeffery (Terry) Anderson, and daughter Lori (Jeffrey) Crownover. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren, Michelle, Tara, Steve Jr., Renee, Sean, Andrew, and Nicole; as well as her adored great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Sophie, Isabelle, Grace, Kennedy, Jack, Lilly, Ben, and Jack. Each of them carries a piece of her generous spirit. Shirley was not just a mother and grandmother; she was also a sister and a cherished friend. She leaves behind her brother, Rollin (Sue) Sorenson.

Shirley was preceded in death by the love of her life, Orin Anderson; parents, Henry & Myrtle Sorenson; daughter, Cynthia Anderson; brothers, Harian, David, Wayne, Jim Sorenson; sisters, Judy Vanasse, Donna Butts, and Arlene Nelson.

Future arrangements will be made for a graveside service at Gilman Lutheran Cemetery in Spring Valley, where family will bring Shirley back to her roots.
