Shirley Jean Franklin

Shirley Jean Franklin of Hudson, WI, passed away Monday, September 3, 2018 at Regions Hospital. Shirley was born on June 17, 1936, in St. Paul, MN.

Although Shirley suffered with MS, it never seemed to slow her down. She was a feisty spitfire with strong opinions. Shirley loved reading mystery novels, working on jigsaw puzzles, drinking Caribou coffee and listening to The Eagles.

Shirley is survived by her children Corrine (Paul) Zilge, Gilbert Zilge and Dave (Brenda) Franklin; grandchildren Nicole (David), Annie (Travis), Dustin, Kara, Daniel, Andrew and Amber; great-grandchildren Corrine, Cael, Brock, Leila, Emmett and Kadryn. Shirley is preceded in death by her son, Daniel John Franklin, who passed away on August 11, 2018.

A memorial service will be held 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to donor’s choice.
