Stan G. Ostendorf

Stanley George Ostendorf, age 72, of New Richmond, WI, formerly of Roberts, WI, passed away on May 31, 2013 surrounded by his loving family at his home in Richmond Township following a brief battle with cancer.

Stan was born on February 8, 1941 in Clara City, MN to John and Elizabeth (Aeikens) Ostendorf in Rheiderland Township, Minnesota. He attended school in Clara City, and graduated from Clara City High School.  On September 9, 1983, he was united in marriage to Ann Louise Schoenfelder at Pioneer Park in Stillwater, MN. Over the years, they made their home in Roberts and more recently New Richmond. Stan worked many years at the Bayport Correctional Facility. He retired in 1996 as lieutenant and was a proud member of their Prison Honor Guard.  Stan loved being outdoors – working in his vegetable garden or simply driving on the country roads. Him and his brothers also enjoyed participating in country western skits, especially the “OK Corral.”””” He had a great appreciation of the old west working with his quarter horses. He frequently wintered with Ann in San Tan Valley
