Steven Johnson

Steven Dale Johnson, age 60 of Roberts, passed away May 2, 2020 at his home. Steven was born on October 4, 1959 in River Falls to parents Kenneth and Elfrieda (Schriever) Johnson. He grew up in Hudson and graduated from Hudson High School. Steven worked as a machine operator and supervisor at Duro Bag in Hudson for 29 years until the manufacturing plant closed. He then took a maintenance position at Hillside Elementary in New Richmond, where he had worked for the last 10 years. Steven also worked as a roofer on the side and often proclaimed “I roofed that house.”

Steven loved fishing and could easily talk about it for hours, whether telling fish stories or describing a new lure he had just got. He also enjoyed golfing, playing softball in his younger days, and hunting up north with family and friends. Steven was a part owner of the Green Bay Packers and never missed watching a game.

Steven is survived by his life companion, Nancee; daughters, Samantha (Phil Norell) Johnson of Hudson, and Wendelyn (Christopher) Gonzalez of Hammond; his mother, Elfrieda Johnson of Baldwin; step-daughters, Christina (Eric) Stafford of Eau Claire, Courtney (Matt) Beebe of Spring Valley; 8 grandchildren, Arabella, Aliana, Analeigh, Cherry, Alexia, Carter, Gabby and Alex; brothers, Bruno (Brenda) Johnson of Star Prairie, Joe (Kim) Johnson of Somerset, Gary (Rita) Johnson of New Richmond; sister, Lisa Johnson of Hammond; many nieces and nephews other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tiffany; wife, Bonnie; father, Kenneth; and brother, Rick.

Private services for Steven are being held. Interment at the Warren Cemetery in Roberts.
