It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our sweet angel Susan Marie Meulemans, affectionately known as "Sue Boo," who spread her wings and left this world on May 30, 2026, at the age of 61, releasing her from the earthly burden of suffering. Born on February 13, 1965, in Hudson, WI, Susan was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose gentle spirit touched everyone she encountered.
A life spent in Hudson, Susan was known for her unwavering strength and resilience, especially in the face of her long battle with multiple sclerosis.
Sue loved the simple pleasures of life—sharing laughter with loved ones, traveling, and indulging in good food and her favorite TV shows. Her passion for collecting old bottles, jugs, head vases, tins, and shadow boxes spoke to her appreciation for history and nostalgia. Those who knew her understood that she had an extraordinary talent for finding joy in everyday moments.
In her journey, Susan taught us invaluable lessons: that life is not fair, to help others when we can, the importance of patience, to embrace the simple joys while they last, and never to take anything for granted. Her resilience in the face of adversity was a testament to her incredible spirit.
Susan leaves behind her loving husband, Joe Meulemans, who devotedly cared for her through the challenges they faced together; her son and daughter-in-law, Jabez Meulemans and Emma Hussey; grandchildren, Theo and Tessa Meulemans; brothers, Randy Schoenoff and Steve Schoenoff; sisters, Karen (Brian) Blok and Patti (Gaylon) Harwell; and family friend, Mary, who diligently helped Joe care for Susan in her final years. She is further survived by her aunts, many nieces and nephews, cousins, in-laws and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Evelyn Schoenoff.
As we say goodbye to our sweet angel, we are reminded that even in her absence, the love she shared will forever resonate in our hearts.
Please plan ahead to join us for a Celebration of Sue’s Life starting at 1:00 on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026 at Warren Park, 720 112th St. Roberts, WI.
