Taylor Casey

Taylor J Casey, age 19, of Hudson, WI, passed away accidentally on January 1, 2014.  Taylor was born on February 27, 1994 in Stillwater, MN to Chad and Terri (Salava) Casey.  Taylor grew up in Hudson, where he graduated with the Hudson High School Class of 2012.

Most recently, Taylor was attending Century College in White Bear Lake, MN, pursuing a criminal justice degree.  He was employed at the Regal Auto Wash and Detail in Hudson, WI where he worked in “customer service”.

Taylor was well known amongst friends and families for his love of a good time.  His smile was contagious.  He loved all sports but hockey was his passion.  With the Hudson Raiders he played all positions but goalie, and played with the varsity his Junior and Senior year.  He was a Wild fan, college hockey fan, and, despite all the guidance he received from friends and family, a Vikings fan.

Taylor is survived by his parents, Chad and Terri Casey of Hudson, WI; brothers, Cody of Prairie Farm, WI and Tanner of Hudson, WI; grandparents, Al and Terrie Salava of Hudson, WI, Sharon Salava of Inver Grove Heights, MN and Ray and Donna Casey of Grantsburg, WI; aunts and uncles, Lori Link of Stillwater, MN, Dave (Robin) Salava of River Falls, WI, Ed Salava of Lake St. Croix Beach, MN, Krissy Olsen of North Hudson, WI, Mary (Chad) Walker of New Richmond, WI, Jeremy (Sonya) Casey of Grantsburg, WI; as well as many cousins other relatives and many dear friends.

Taylor is preceded in death by uncles, cousins and great-grandparents.

An evening of remembrance for Taylor will be held on Monday, January 6, 2014 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson.  A prayer service will take place at 4:30pm.  A time of visitation will take place from 4pm until the time of service and then after the service until 8pm.  Friends are encouraged to dress casually.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Taylor’s family.  Services are in the care of the O’Connell Family Funeral Home – Hudson Chapel.  715.386.3725
