Thomas (Tom) Brinsko, 74, of Hudson, Wisconsin, passed away on May 16, 2026, in the company of his loving family.
Tom was born on September 21, 1951, in Iron Mountain, Michigan, to Rudy and Anne Brinsko. He spent his youth in Appleton, Wisconsin, before attending the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, where he earned a master’s degree in human performance. Tom had a passion for fitness, which led to a 42-year career working with the YMCA. Tom worked his way up from an entry-level position to become the President and CEO of the YMCA of Greater St. Paul, contributing to the health and well-being of his community. In addition to his work with the YMCA, Tom also served on the board of directors of Health Partners for many years, working hard to expand community access to medical treatment.
Outside of his career, Tom enjoyed fitness and sport. He was an avid Packer and Badger fan. He competed in 3 Ironman competitions, as well as numerous triathlons and marathons. He loved skiing and snowshoeing in the winter, but his greatest passion was for his bicycle. Tom loved biking long distances and even biked across the United States. Tom was also a very caring man and an active member of his community. He established a non-profit, Building Healthier America, to provide services to individuals with disabilities.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Cynthia Brinsko; his children, Bryan Brinsko, Stephen Brinsko, and Dan Brinsko.
