Tim Dreier, 63, passed away peacefully in his home on October 14th, 2026 after a year and a half long battle with cancer.
Tim was born in Clear Lake, WI on July 19th, 1963. His first love was the dairy farm where he grew up and got so many life recollections from. He loved sharing memories about the farm, his buddies, and life in rural Wisconsin that many people could relate to. You may remember Tim’s extensive stories about his life on the farm, adventures with Clear Lake buddies, and his cancer journey. He was well known for his passion for the Packers, Brewers, Badgers, local high school sports teams, and his many rants about 1960s football history that he forced his nephews to memorize.
One of the many stories he shared with any one who would listen is how he met his honey and sweetheart, his wife Andrea (Andie). It all began at New Years Eve, 1997, with Andie’s laugh, a drink, and asking for her permission to kiss her at midnight. Tim took any chance he got to share the memory, as it led to their beautiful 25 years of marriage and two children.
One of Tim’s greatest life accomplishments was his service and dedication to the Clear Lake and Hudson communities. Tim coordinated park cleanups, helped people in need, made people laugh on the community pages, yet never forgot his hometown. He always stayed connected with classmates, long time friends, and went back frequently; mostly to rubberneck at the farms on 63 and 64. Tim was extremely active at church, Mt. Zion Lutheran in Hudson. He loved taking care of the property and connecting with the members that gave him that same love and support.
Tim learned his work ethic on that farm from his dad, once a farmboy, always a farmboy. He was very proud of being a boy scout, where he learned the old adage of better need it and not have it. After graduating from high school and dabbling in college, he installed computerized milking systems all over the country; it was the one job that allowed him to travel and see different parts of the world. Tim worked 20 long years at Pillsbury, or as he called it, “the bakery.” He spoke fondly of Uline, which brought him and his family to Hudson. The position he loved the most, however, was at Ace Hardware in River Falls. Tim inadvertently became a part of the RF community and loved talking to and helping the regulars who would come in just for him. The friends and co-workers he made at Ace supported and were there for him and his family.
Tim may have been known as Timmy D to many, or Uncle Tim, brother, friend, but he cherished dad the most. He was the first to brag about any accomplishment, big or small. He was so proud that his little girl was following her dreams and obtained her position at a real museum. Dad loved going to the Hudson Raider games to cheer on Nils; then once Nils became a Gopher, it was the only time he could stand wearing a Minnesota team shirt.
If you couldn’t find Tim, he was probably watching Wisconsin sports, listening to Aerosmith, or mowing; we know he will argue with his dad over who gets the pleasure of mowing the proverbial heavenly lawn. He loved messing around with his pets as well, from Minute the cow, to his beloved dog, Marley, our family dog Harley, and our cats, junebug Juniper and puttycat Claire.
Tim is survived by his wife, Andrea (Nordaune) and children, Brooke and Nils; by his siblings, Chris (Dave), sister-in-law Jill, Mike (Marlene), and Anne, along with countless family and friends.
His loss is preceded by his parents, Lyman and Irene, as well as his older brother Lynn or “Buck.”
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the following organizations that Tim dedicated his time and service to: Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, YMCA Hudson, Hudson Boosters Inc, Hudson Home & Garden Club, Hudson Lions Club, Hudson Area History Connection, and the Little Free Library
