Trenten Williamson, age 20, lifelong resident of Prescott died May 13th 2023 at Gillette’s Children Hospital in St. Paul following a courageous battle with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Trenten was born on August 3, 2002 in Red Wing, Minnesota; the son of Michael and Gerlynn (Schommer) Williamson. At a very young age, it was determined that Trenten had Muscular Dystrophy. Although a debilitating disease, Trenten persevered. He never asked why or wanted any undue attention; especially sympathy. In his short life, he lit up a room and taught others how to live. Putting it plainly, he was an inspiration to those who had the privilege of meeting him. To know him was to love him.
Trenten had an engineering mind. He loved computers. He could create a computer from scratch. In fact, it became a family adventure. It was like a surgery, everyone playing their role with Trenten giving careful instructions on how to and where to put it. Motherboards, processors, cooling fans, memory sticks, he knew all of it. Furthermore, he served as a moderator for the MineCraft server as a result of his experience. He loved all sorts of music; especially classic rock. “Life is A Highway” was his favorite song by Rascal Flatts. He was a food critic. One of his favorite shows growing up was Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives which found small joints that made unique savory food. After a spin off from that, he loved looking up fun tasty recipes that he would give his Grandpa Mike to whip together.
Trenten will forever remain in the hearts of his parents Gerlynn Williamson of Prescott, Michael Williamson of Prescott; siblings MaKenna, Landen, Bella; grandparents Mike & Shellby Schommer, Roger & Debbie Williamson; aunts and uncles Erica & Marcus Kenall, Samantha & Mike Wilson, Wayde & Sola Williamson, Timothy & Sarah Williamson; cousins Alissa, T.J., Peyton, Huxley, Harper, Dax, Emma, Rorie, R.J., Leo, Gracie; as well as many great aunts, uncles and countless people whose lives he touched. He is preceded in death by his grandmother Joan ‘Roxy’ Williamson; great grandparents Maurice & Virginia Schommer, Ruby Fisher, Don & Dolly Larsen.
