Troy David Viegut

Troy Viegut, AKA Thor Viegut, age 53 of Prescott, died March 18, 2026, at the University of Minnesota Hospital. Troy was born April 9, 1971, in Wausau, Wisconsin, the son of Eugene and Lila Viegut.

Troy loved to watch MASH* almost every day. Troy loved spending time with Connie Kincade (significant other for almost 7 years), family, and friends. Troy loved watching all kinds of sports and going to see them live when possible, especially the WI Badgers. Troy loved music and going to concerts to hear the bands live. He loved to cook crockpot recipes and was doing more with meals in the oven as well. He loved to travel when possible. He loved to watch shows on the HGTV channel like Fixer to Fabulous, Hometown, My Lottery Dream Home, and other shows like this.

Troy is survived by his parents, Eugene Viegut and Lila Viegut; brother, Jason Viegut; nephew, Shylo Moon; great-niece, Adalee Moon-Moore; granddaughters, Mackenzie Nelson, Paige Nelson, Hailey Nelson, and Hannah Nelson; great-granddaughters, Rowan Hoyer and Rylan Hoyer; and many aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins. Troy loved his granddaughters and great-granddaughters very much and enjoyed spending time with them. Troy was preceded in death by his wife, Dawn Ann Fischer.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Joy Lutheran Church, 1435 St. Croix St., Prescott, WI 54021, on April 11, 2026. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m., with the service starting at 11:00 a.m., and lunch to follow the service. A second Celebration of Life will be held at a park near his parents' home on August 15, 2026.
