Ulrike ‘Ulla’ Hintz, age 59 of Somerset, died unexpectedly on January 3, 2018.
Ulrike was born on December 28, 1958 in Augsburg, Germany and came to America with her mother when she was only six years old. Ulla earned her General Education Degree and furthered her education to become an Alcohol and Other Drug Counselor. She spent 15 years as an AOD working for the Challenge Incarceration Program for the St. Croix County Correctional Center. Ulla was united in marriage to Rick Doonan and their union was blessed with two children, Anne and Michael.
Ulla was a one-of-a-kind woman; marching to the beat of her own drum. She was extremely humorous and charismatic; enjoying all that life could offer. Her smile and laughter would light up a room and be very contagious. She was a shopaholic and especially loved purchasing handbags. Most important to Ulla was her family; she adored her many grandchildren and treasured the time they shared. Ulla was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and dear friend.
Ulla will remain in the hearts of her children, Anne (Daniel) Larson, Michael (Kena) Doonan; many grandchildren; and countless other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Hall; father of her children, Rick Doonan; grandson, Greg Eitrel Jr.; and her parents.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 4-6 PM on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Baldwin, WI, with a Memorial Service at 6 PM.
