Walter J. “Jim” Rigwald Jr.

Walter J. “Jim” Rigwald Jr., age 66 of Roberts WI and formerly of St Paul MN, died on Thursday, August 14, 2014 of sarcoma related to exposure of Agent Orange. Walt was born on May 31, 1948 to parents Walter J. Sr. and Shirley Ann (Jewell) Rigwald. After graduation from Monroe High in St Paul, Walt served our Country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. Walt was best known for his work as a mail carrier for the US Postal Service and in Real Estate. Due to his personable, kind and caring nature, he was well known and respected in both fields.

Walt enjoyed time spent at the cabin fishing and boating, John Deere tractors, Ford trucks, the Minnesota State Fair, and PBS shows. He loved music, and had a golden voice. Walt loved sharing his infectious smile, and just plain “having fun”. Family and friends were paramount to Walt. He valued the multitude of friendships he developed over the years. He loved his wife and children, and adored being grandpa. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
