Warren C. Strom

Warren C. Strom, age 90, formerly of Hudson, WI,  Rockport, TX, and Rockford, IL, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Woodstone Assisted Living of Rice Lake, WI. Warren was born on July 20, 1928, the son of Olaf and Lillian (Petersen) Strom. He was united in marriage to Nancy Jepsen in Rockford, IL, in 1950 and they raised four children: Cynthia, Steven, Marcia and Sylvia.

Warren dutifully served the United States Armed Forces as a member of the Army during the Korean War. He was exceptionally proud of his Christian faith and cherished his family above all other things in life. Warren was an avid reader and was fascinated with wilderness and the outdoors.

Warren will remain in the hearts of his children, Cynthia (John) Gunnerson, Steven (Karen) Strom, Marcia (John) Metzger, and Sylvia (Brian Huser) Strom; former wife, Nancy Strom (Jepsen); grandchildren, Amy, Alicia, Matthew, Kirsten, Lydia, Owen, Steven, Laura, Rena, Krysta, and Brandon; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Ellen, Jack, Peyton, Morgan, Gunnard, Paige, David, and Genevieve; as well as other extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his four siblings, Kenneth, Edith, Bonnie, and Robert.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 1 to 2 PM on Sunday, October 21, 2018, at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church of Hudson, WI, followed immediately by a Memorial Service for Warren beginning at 2 PM.
