Warren J. Rada, beloved husband and father, age 76, of Hudson, died October 8, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. Warren was born in Chippewa Falls, WI, on April 15, 1935, to Edward and Mamie (Wahl) Rada.  He graduated from Chippewa Falls High School, and then went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.  Warren worked for 3M as a Human Resources manager for over thirty years, retiring in 1995.  On March 28, 1980, he married his wife Karen in Woodbury, MN, and the couple resided in Naples, Florida and Hudson, Wisconsin.

Warren was an avid tennis player and a true outdoorsman.  Warren was extremely energetic and a wonderful host, always polite and welcoming, and able to make even a casual acquaintance feel as though he had known them for a long time.

Warren is survived by his wife Karen; children Michelle Martenson of Andover, MN, Stephen (Dawn) Rada of Roseville, MN, William (Regina) Hickey of Woodbury, MN, Susan (Phil) Listerud of Woodbury, MN, and Stephen Hickey of Woodbury, MN; nine grandchildren, Cory Rada of Roseville, MN, Alexandria Rada of Roseville, MN, Zachary Martenson of Andover, MN, Sarah Martenson of Andover, MN, Matthew Listerud of St. Paul, MN, Mark (Rachel) Listerud of Cottage Grove, MN, Natasha Volkenant of St. Paul, MN, and Branden Hickey of Woodbury, MN; Crystal Collier of Eagan, MN; and great-granddaughter Noelle Listerud.

Warren was preceded in death by his parents; brother Lester Rada; grandson Nathan Listerud; and son-in-law Dale Martenson.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2011, at 11:30am, at United Methodist Church in Hudson, WI.  A gathering of family and friends will take place at the church from 10:30 am until the time of the service.  Private interment will take place at Willow River Cemetery in Hudson, WI. Memorials are requested to the American Cancer Society.
