Wayne M. Peterson

Wayne M. “Pete” Peterson, Age 67 of Ellsworth, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2014 at his home with his family by his side. Pete was a graduate of Ellsworth High School. He married Barbara Soden in 1966, she passed away in 1985. In 1986 he married Rita Maier and she passed away in 2009. On March 3, 2013 he married Debra Kay (Christiansen) Wodarczyk in Ellsworth.Pete worked as a mechanic for Kings Cove, Hastings for 18 years and for Randy Iten Chev for 18 years in Hudson. Pete retired in 2013 from Konrad Marine after nine years of service.In Pete’s spare time he enjoyed building derby cars with his family, camping, traveling and following NASCAR.Pete was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Ellsworth.He is survived by his wife, Deb Peterson.Four sons: Michael (Anita); Robert (Lovie); Victor (Jamie), and Thomas (Kendall).Step-children: Anne and Wade Wodarczyk.Seven grandchildren: Marcus, Nic (Kena), Stacie, Max, Matthew, Logan and KaitlynBrothers: James “Jim” (Leona) Peterson; Jerome “Joe” (Lola) Peterson; Ed (Kathy) Peterson and Michael (Marcia) Penny; and sister Rosemary (Todd) Christiansen. Special companion Zoey, his pet Shih Tzu.Pete is further survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews other relatives and many friends.He was preceded in death by his first wife Barbara and second wife Rita, parents, sister, Irene and brother John. Hill Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Ellsworth, is assisting the family with arrangements.
