Wende Rae Wiskerchen

Wende Rae Wiskerchen, of Hudson, Wisconsin, passed away on January 28, 2026, at the age of 67. Born on October 5, 1958, to parents Ron & Kay Willman, Wende was a lifelong resident of Hudson, graduating from Hudson High School in 1976.

Wende cherished her family and friends deeply, nurturing a particularly special bond with her nephews, Ryan and Sam, whose lives she brightened with her unwavering love and support. She was known for her generosity, often described by those close to her as someone who would give the shirt off her back to those in need. Those fortunate enough to know Wende will remember her infectious laughter and the heartfelt cards she lovingly selected for special occasions, often bringing a smile with their humor.

A passionate Green Bay Packers fan, Wende decorated her home in green and gold, clearly displaying her loyalty and pride for her team. She shared many joyful moments on Village Inn bus trips with her sister Leslee, relishing the excitement of attending Packers versus Vikings matchups. Wende also found joy in social outings, particularly enjoying a little gambling, which often turned into cherished afternoons with friends.

In her quiet life, Wende found solace in her love for animals and took every opportunity to care for them, reflecting her nurturing demeanor. She often spoke fondly of the connection she felt with the creatures that shared our world, illustrating her empathy and devotion.

Wende is survived by her mother, Kay Zilz; sister, Leslee Thompson; brother-in-law, Brian Thompson; nephews, Ryan & Sam (Alyssa) Thompson; plus many cousins and special friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Willman; special aunt, Judi Cameron; special uncle, Gary Cameron.

Wende's warmth and laughter will resonate in the hearts of her loved ones, as they carry forward the lessons of kindness and loyalty that she imparted throughout her life. A private gathering will be held by those closest to Wende, where she will be returned the earth in all her favorite spots.
