William (Bill) DiBona passed away at home in the early morning of May 16th, 2026. He had been suffering with chronic illnesses for the last few years, and is now at peace.
Born in Brooklyn, New York on July 30th, 1953, to Anthony DiBona and Rosemary "Chris" (Crisafulli). His family moved to Arverne, New York in 1960. Bill had 3 siblings - Robert (deceased), Joan (Gertel), and Joe.
Bill enlisted in the Army in 1973, and was honorably discharged in 1976. It was at the Dental Corps at Fort Knox, Kentucky, where he met his wife Elaine Fetting, who was also enlisted in the Army Dental Corps at Fort Knox. They married on September 17th, 1977. After discharge, he entered college in Elizabethtown, Kentucky that fall.
He majored in Animal Science, graduating with a Bachelor of Science, in 1981, from the University of Kentucky - Lexington. He worked 25 years for USDA as a commodity/meat grader at different packing houses, mostly in the Midwest and Southern United States. Retiring in 1989, to a hobby farm in Baldwin, Wisconsin, where he loved gardening, haying, raising cows and goats. Bill loved the outdoors in Wisconsin but missed the ocean and his family in NY. He loved all animals, fishing, and gardening.
Bill and Eliane's Son Timothy was born June 20, 1980, in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Daughter Tiffany (Stenzel) was born May 20th, 1987 in Racine, Wisconsin.
Bill leaves behind his wife Elaine; son Tim, his wife Alessiah (Miller) and granddaughter Giada; daughter Tiffany, her husband Roger Stenzel, grandsons Wesley and Lucas; sister Joan, her husband Ted Gertel; brother Joe, his wife Indira; sister-in-law Kay, her husband Jerry Zinn; brother-in-law Paul, his wife Star. He was also very close to his cousins Adriene Hughes, her husband Larry (deceased); Lorraine, her husband Robert Villamagna; Laura, her husband Joe Failla; His dogs Ebby and Bella, plus cats Molly, Simba, and Baby Cat will miss him greatly.
Family will be holding a private gathering at O'Connell Family Funeral Home in Baldwin, Wisconsin.
