William S. Marek

William “Bill” S. Marek, 75, of Prescott, WI died Monday, March 3, 2014 at the Prescott Nursing and Rehab. Community.He was born on October 18, 1938 in River Falls, WI the son of Sylvester and Alvera (Killian) Marek.Bill married Mary Lubich on October 3, 1959 at St. Francis Catholic Church, Ellsworth. During his service to the guards he was called up to active duty during the Cuban Bay of Pigs invasion.Bill loved to golf, vacationing and wintering in Florida and was an avid Packer fan.He was a member of the Costelloe Madsen Am. Legion Post, and St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Prescott.Bill is survived by his wife, Mary, Prescott, WI.Four children: Lori (Steve Citro) Maddock, Hudson, WI; Brenda (Todd) McNamara, Hastings, MN; Dale (Cheryl) Marek, Rosemount, MN; and Brian (Alison) Marek, Hastings, MN.Seven grandchildren: Ashley Maddock, Amelia and Brendan McNamara; Josh and Corey Marek; and Cody and Kailey Marek.Brother, Robert (Katherine) Marek, Trego, WI.His parents preceded him in death.Hill Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Prescott, WI is serving the family.
