Mary Louise Girard, age 53, unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2019. She was born on July 9, 1965 and attended school in South Milwaukee WI, where she met her high school sweetheart, Stephan Girard. On September 19, 1987, Mary and Stephan were forever united in marriage at St. Mary’s Parish. They began an exciting new chapter of life by relocating to Hudson, WI in 2002.

As a devoted, remarkable, and one-of-a-kind wife and mother, Mary brought life, laughter, love, and passion into every relationship. Her warmth, kindness and welcoming nature left lasting impressions in the hearts of many through her commitment to friendships and volunteering.

Mary’s passing is succeeded by her parents’, George and Alberta (Gestl) Schaefer. She will forever remain in the hearts of her husband, Stephan, and beloved children, Alexander, Zachary and Natalie. In addition to her siblings, Christopher (Kerry) Schaefer and their children, Nicholas, Benjamin and Rachel, as well as Margaret (Damon) West and their children, Amy and Lauren, and other extended relatives and countless friends.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 3-7 PM Wednesday, July 10, 2019 followed by a prayer service at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson. Mary will be laid to eternal rest at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery following a Mass, after visitation from 9-11AM on Friday, July 12, 2019 at Divine Mercy Parish of South Milwaukee.
